West / North Loop and Staunton Downtown Trolley Route and Schedule Changes
New route changes affecting the North / West Loops and the Staunton Downtown Trolley will go into effect Friday, November 1.
The former “North Loop” and “West Loop” that operated as two, 30-minute loops, will now be combined into one, one-hour loop, renamed the “West / North Loop”. The new one-hour loop will start with the West Loop instead of the North Loop and will not travel to the Lewis Street Hub at the top of the hour (between the Gypsy Hill House and Elm Street stops). Additionally, the loop will now have a CALL stop located at Middlebrook Trace apartments (Middlebrook Ave / Moore St).
The hours of operation will also change to align with more connections to other BRITE routes. The new hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM – 7:30 PM, and Saturday, 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM.
As a part of this change, three stops that are on the current West Loop will now be served by the Staunton Downtown Trolley route – Booker T. Washington Community Center, Walnut St / Montgomery Ave, and Sudbury St / W Johnson St.
The new schedule is as follows:
